The Wand® single-tooth anesthesia, we gather detailed diagnostic information while maximizing your child’s safety and physical comfort. These advanced tools allow us to provide precise, gentle treatments that eliminate common dental fears, ensuring a smoother, stress-free experience and faster recovery times for growing smiles.
Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?
As a parent, ensuring the health and well-being of your child is a top priority. One crucial aspect of their overall health is their dental care. While family dentists and general dentists offer comprehensive services, there are distinct benefits to choosing a pediatric dentist for your child's dental needs.
Specialized Training & Expertise
Pediatric dentists undergo additional years of specialized training focused specifically on treating infants, children, and adolescents. This specialized education equips them with a deep understanding of child psychology, growth and development, and pediatric oral health needs.
Child-Friendly Environment
Pediatric dental offices are designed with children in mind, featuring bright colors, playful décor, and kid-friendly amenities. These environments help alleviate anxiety and fear often associated with dental visits, making the experience more comfortable and enjoyable for young patients.
Tailored Approach to Treatment
Pediatric dentists utilize techniques and tools specifically tailored to meet the unique needs of children. They are skilled in communicating with young patients at their level, using age-appropriate language and explanations to help them understand the importance of oral hygiene and dental care.
Insurance & Financing
We know that navigating dental coverage and finances for your little ones can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to make every step easy and stress-free! We accept most insurance providers, and for patients without coverage, we offer an In-House Membership Plan as well as flexible financing through CareCredit and Sunbit.
If you have any questions about our financial and insurance policies or if you would like further details on how to get started, please give our friendly team a call at

Frequently Asked Questions
What Services Do You Provide?
We offer a comprehensive range of pediatric dental care designed specifically for growing smiles! Our services include gentle checkups and cleanings, preventive care (like sealants and fluoride treatments), tooth-colored fillings, specialized pediatric restorations, and emergency care. Our team provides a fun, supportive environment for every stage of childhood.
When Should My Baby First See A Pediatric Dentist?
Dental care can begin before the first tooth ever appears! At Anchored Smiles, we welcome babies from birth and encourage families to reach out early—especially when there are concerns with breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, latch, or oral development.
Dr. Freitas can evaluate your baby’s mouth, oral structures, and frenums (lip and tongue attachments) and work collaboratively with your lactation consultant and other healthcare providers when appropriate.
Early visits also give parents an opportunity to ask questions about feeding, oral development, teething, pacifier habits, and caring for those first little teeth when they arrive.
If you or your lactation consultant has concerns about your baby’s latch, feeding, or a possible tongue- or lip-tie, you don’t have to wait for the first tooth to schedule a visit. There are no restrictions for special needs.
Healthy little smiles can start from the very beginning.
Can You Help With a Dental Emergency?
Yes! Accidents happen, especially with active kids! If your child is experiencing a severe toothache, has a damaged tooth, or has knocked out a tooth during play, please call us right away. We prioritize pediatric emergencies and do everything possible to schedule a same-day appointment so we can soothe their discomfort and restore their happy smile.
How Do I Schedule an Appointment?
Scheduling is simple! You can give our office a call or request an appointment online. Our friendly front-desk team will help you find a convenient time that fits around school and family schedules. We can’t wait to welcome your family to our practice!
My Child Has Special Needs. Can You Accommodate Them?
Absolutely. At Anchored Smiles, we believe every child deserves a dental experience that meets them where they are. We are a Certified Autism Welcome Office.
We welcome children with autism, ADHD, sensory sensitivities, developmental differences, anxiety, and other special healthcare needs. Our team takes the time to learn about your child, including their communication style, sensory preferences, triggers, comfort items, and what has worked well for them in the past.
Some children may benefit from a quieter appointment time, extra time to become familiar with our office, a gradual introduction to the dental chair and instruments, or simply a little more patience and flexibility. We are happy to work with you to help make your child's visit as comfortable and positive as possible.
When scheduling, please let our team know about any accommodations that may help your child. You know your child best, and we want you to be part of creating a dental experience that works for them.
Every smile belongs here.
